Better than any other alarm app I have tried

And I have tried a lot. But alarm apps are personal. This one happens to work very well for me.

Its quick and easy to set and adjust alarms (I vary my wake time each day) and if you take a minute to try a test alarm youll realize it makes sense with keeping the app open, night mode, etc. But again, clock apps are personal so I see that doesnt work for some people. To each their own. I have no problem plugging in my phone, opening this app, then switching off my phone. Works beautifully.

I also like how if I try to turn the volume of the alarm down it slowly creeps back up. Haha. Keeps me honest.

Possible improvement: change the vibration pattern when waking. I find its too strong and rattles on my table.

And its true, the default sounds are mostly obnoxious. Not much variety for subtler alarms unless I pay. But good software developers should be compensated, so fair enough. I just wont buy until theres a Restore Purchases feature as someone else mentioned.
